First Visit Guide

Thank you for making an appointment with Greater Sydney ENT

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time, as there will be paperwork to complete before you see your Doctor. 

Please bring the following to your initial appointment:  

  • A valid referral from your GP 
  • Your Medicare Card, DVA card, Pension card 
  • Private Health Insurance details 
  • Relevant blood results, imaging scans & diagnostic investigations 
  • List of Allergies 
  • List of current medications 

 

To help with making an expedited diagnosis at your initial appointment, you can ask your GP to arrange the following tests before your appointment based on your symptoms. 

Recommended tests for adults 

  • Hearing loss, tinnitus: Hearing test (audiogram and tympanometry) 
  • Blocked nose, sinusitis: CT sinuses (non-contrast) 
  • Snoring/sleep apnoea: Sleep study (polysomnography) 
  • Swallowing difficulties: Barium swallow 
 

Recommended tests for children 

  • Hearing loss, speech delay: Hearing test (audiogram and tympanometry) 
  • Snoring: Lateral airways x-ray (for children under three years old or any older child who is unlikely to tolerate a nasendoscopy – small flexible camera test in the nose) 

Parking is available at the 24-hour multi-storey Eat Street Car Park  located immediately behind 55 Phillip Street (office building for Greater Sydney ENT). 55 Phillip Street can be entered directly from the Eat Street Car Park via China Rose Walk.

Greater Sydney ENT is a private practice and does not offer bulk billing. Reduced fees are provided to concession and health care card holders. Payment is required at the time of the treatment. The fee for an appointment is outlined to patients at the time of booking.   

We will send you reminders about your appointment via SMS. Please contact us (LINK) if you wish to cancel or postpone your appointment. If we do not receive confirmation that you will be attending your appointment, it may be cancelled, and the appointment time offered to another patient.

We appreciate that your time is valuable, and we will make every effort to see you at your allocated appointment time. We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment time to ensure there is adequate time to check you in and complete the necessary paperwork.  If you are going to be late for your appointment, it is important that you contact the clinic as soon as possible. From time to time, emergencies or complex patients require extended appointments, and these may cause delays beyond our control. We apologise if we keep you waiting. 

Cancellation Policy

A 24-hour cancellation policy applies for appointments at the Greater Sydney ENT clinic. Please provide us with no less than 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment. For any appointments cancelled within 24 hours, we require a prepayment fee to be paid prior to booking another appointment.
